Volunteers are critical to our success. We are always looking for help with diverse activities that make Viva Los Gatos a vibrant rescue.

​

Think about your talents and what you would find most enjoyable. Do you have a knack for fundraising? Do you like working with the public or prefer to stay behind the scenes? How about chasing down some strays so we can take them into our care?

 

Be assured that we will provide any needed training or assistance until you're comfortable and confident. And even then, we're here for you 24/7.

• Application Screening. Process Adoption Applications by researching application information and/or conducting phone interviews with potential adopters and their references.
   

• Fundraising. Help create and implement fundraising programs and events to support our operations.
   

• Marketing / Public Relations. Help promote Viva Los Gatos Cat Rescue out in the community. The more people know about us, the more we can achieve our mission of rescuing and finding homes for stray cats and kittens.
   

• Staff Adoption Events.  Even if you don't have foster kitties, you can help set up and tear down our display, and talk to the public about our group and our cats.
   

• Education / Outreach. Raise awareness of the importance of rescue, TNR (trap, neuter, release) programs, humane animal care, and other issues of note.
   

• Rescue Operations / TNR. Help retrieve cats from wherever they're hiding, and set humane traps to capture, neuter, and release feral cats.
   

• Hotline / Administrative Support: Follow up on phone messages and help with general office functions.
   

• Transportation. Transport foster cats to and from medical appointments, as needed.
   

• Foster. Open your home and care for our kitties until they have a forever home.
